Hello everyone!
So, I know it's been forever since I've blogged because I'm a new college student! I am officially a freshman in college and am recently totally engaged in my homework (ish) lol

But, I wanted to bring to you all the lovely new product that I have tried!
This is Clean Start by Dermalogica.
It is like a miracle for people like me! I have recently had my own battle with acne after just recently turning 19. I've been acne-free my whole life and all of a sudden I have this terrible issue with acne and acne scarring. I splurged and bought this product and it has made a drastic difference in my face. I have noticed definitely less zits than before and I'm sooo happy with this product! I wanted to put a link for Kandee Johnson on here because she is the reason I bought this product. She really explains how awesome it really is.

Although, if you have suffered from acne for years throughout your teenage life I definitely recommend seeing your doctor for an antibiotic cream because my sister has benefitted greatly from that! It's not too awfully expensive either.

So, if you suffer from acne Clean Start may be the way to go :)
Just remember though, that everyone is different and acne doesn't last forever :)

Love and happiness,

I'm a blonde!!!

Hey beautiful,
Yeah, I'm talking to you. It's been way too long since I've updated this blog but how about I tell you what I've been doing?
Well, all last week I was in Bar Harbor, Maine enjoying the wonderful weather, low humidity, and fantastic smell of the ocean! I climbed some rock, went on a bike ride, ran around a bit, shopped. It was awesome!
But guess what? Then I came home and decided, "Forget these blonde highlights, why not just go blonde?" So today I write to you as a new blonde! :)

My beauty tip for you all today is all about learning from my mistakes lol
So,
Lesson 1: Bleaching you're whole hair out by yourself is hard.
Lesson 2: Always, always, always apply bleach to your roots last or they will turn out white.
Lesson 3: Moisture is hard to get back so don't be afraid of argan and cocout oil, they will save your dry, dry hair.
Lesson 4: Makeup that you use when you're a brunette may not suit you as a blonde but a smokey brown eye and a dewy face go with any hair color.
Lesson 5: After you have bleached out your hair and come to realize that your roots are white and your hair is yellow/orange John Frieda will save your day. (Oh, and anything that takes out brassiness really helps)
Lesson 6: If you've always dreamed about dying your hair a drastic color, don't be afraid to do it. Hair grows about an inch a month so it always can grow back. And, if it really looks terrible when its done sometimes a splurge at a salon is ok.

So I know this won't apply to probably even half of the people that read this but it is helpful and some food for thought. Many people are afraid to dye their hair for fear of it looking terrible or fear of change but let me tell you, it's exhilirating!
Sometimes doing something creative (and not permanent) is just what you need when you and your self confidence are in a slump.

As an update, the Sally Hansen Simply Smooth did not last 6 days. But, it did last 3. Which is 3 times the amount my shaving lasts. I take vitamins to help my hair grow and to make up for lack of meat in my diet so my hair grows fast, especially on my legs. So if three days is worth it to you, give it a shot!

Also, if you have any makeup or hair or skin questions please comment! I love to help people and I love helping people feel more beautiful in their own skin.
Thank you guys so much for reading!

I hope you all have your dream hair (and if not, that's why I'm here :))

Hello my sweets,
Today, I come to you with a few new fun things to try!

First of all, (refer to above picture) I took a picture from prom and I photoshopped it so that the edges were transparent (Tip: save in a PNG format) and I printed it onto an old spanish book page.
Doesn't it look cute? :)

Another thing I did was I took a ramkin and a one of those tiny little candles and filled the ramkin with coffee beans and lit the candle into the center. Now, the living room smells like a Starbucks!

There are also a few more other ideas that I have yet to try but I want to so bad!
I will put a link down below for my pintrest page and on there I have a DIY board that is full of stuff I want to try.

On a totally unrelated note, I used the Sally Hansen Simply Smooth on my legs and upper lip (just to see if it worked lol) and I love it! My legs are like incredibly smooth! I love it! On the bottle, it says that it will last 6 days. I have my doubts but I will keep you guys updated! :)

Well thank you for reading and check out my pintrest!

I hope you have a crafty day. ;)

Hello my dears!
So it is summer time here in the middle of nowhere and I know, probably just as well as any other girl out there, hairy legs are a definite no in the summer. And really, any other unwanted hair.
So if you venture out into the big, bad, scary world, you'll see that there a like a ton of options for getting rid of any unwanted hair (like anywhere! lol)
So, you could go to a doctor's office and get laser hair removal... which is like expensive and takes more than just one session. Silly girls, believe it's a fast process. Tee hee.
You could go and get electrolysis. (Pricey) Which means tiny probes are stuck into your pores and zap the hair follicles with little bolts of electricity. Um, ouch?
You can go to a salon and get waxed. Which is (definitely) painful and not very cheap. Also, it means that you have to find a salon which offers waxing and if you're near Lancaster, Ohio my friend you will probably not find many.
Finally, there is shaving. And that's not so bad. It doesn't hurt and razors aren't terrible expensive. But my heavens, you have to do it every day! If you take vitamins then you may have to do it twice a day.

Oh wait... there is one other thing! You can use depilatory creams!
So tonight, my beautiful sunkissed darlings, I have tried my very first depilatory cream! I loved it! It made my skin super smooth and there was no stubble or burning or anything! I hate having to shave every single day but this stuff says that it lasts for 6 days! I don't know if it does yet but I will definitely let you know!

For now, I hope your summer is smooth and hair-free and I will talk to you all again soon :)

P.S.
My rash from that Proactiv is now gone and the only thing that helped was leaving it alone and not using any chemicals. I put some Neosporin on it every morning and night and it was gone in probably 3 days. But I am still dealing with a bit of a dark scar. Vitamin E oil should clear that right up :)

Hello my loves!
Today, I want to tell you about my mini spa night that I had!
It was wonderful! I have, sadly, neglected my hair since summer begin (i.e. forgetting to take my vitamins, not moisturizing properly, not protecting my hair from the sun and hot tools) but, I decided tonight to treat my hair to some pampering!
I used coconut oil mixed with some lemon juice (to lighten my highlights) and warmed up the coconut oil then putting it together in a spray bottle and spritzing like crazy all over my hair.
Then I used Garnier Fructis's new Fall Fight spray and massaged it onto my scalp and then put it on a shower cap. After I began to let that sit I mixed up a banana and honey andapplied to my face.
(Psst! The honey has antibacterial properties)
I let it collectively sit for probably an hour before showering.
So far, my skin feels SUPER soft and I can already tell a difference in my hair! :)
So you guys should definitely try this, especially if you've been neglecting your hair.
And if you haven't been neglecting your hair then... well good for you. lol

So thank you very much for reading and I hope you all have beautiful, silky hair and skin. :)

Hello beautiful people,
So today I wanna tell you guys my secret for covering up acne!
Woooo!!!
Ok so it's really simple, I buy the Camouflage Palette from Victoria's Secret and I use the green only on my pimples. I apply a light coating of the skin toned concealer on top of that with my ring finger and then move on to my foundation. The key is to apply gently and lightly because you don't wanna look cake-y. I always make sure I set with powder too so it lasts all day. To help the pimple heal faster you want to make sure your hands are clean and you don't irritate the skin too much. Never use used makeup sponges either because that is a breeding ground for bacteria and those are never very clean.

Ok thanks guys for reading today and my rash is getting a little better but when it heals I'll tell you all what helped.

Thank you and may your skin be acne-free!

Hello beautiful people,
So unfortunately, I have become a victim of acne. I have spent a full 18 years of my life with only a few breakouts here and there but lately my skin has freaked out! So, I tried some of my sister's Proactiv treatment and skipped the first two step and used Step 3 on my forehead, cheeks and chin. I woke up this morning with a tiny red rash on each of my chins. Miraculously, my chin and forehead are totally fine (except still broken out :/)
So now my cheeks look extra rosy due to my extremely sensitive skin.
For my treatment overnight I've chosen to put some Vitamin E oil on it and let it sit and to relieve the burning. Hopefully when I wake up in the morning it'll be at least a little better.

Just for your skin lesson of the day: Vitamin E oil is wonderful to treat sunburns (shame shame) and also to help get rid of stretch marks and wrinkles! And it also prevents wrinkles as well.

Thank you and I will update you on my rashed-self tomorrow.

Hello world!!
So today, I am going to give you my opinion about the sun. Are you ready? Ok. So the sun's UV rays are about 70% of the cause of aging. In the modern world, we talk about aging like it's a disease you want to find a cure for. Let's face it, wrinkles don't make you look young, vibrant, and youthful. So, I want to tell you guys (my tiny audience) about the importance of this wonderful thing called SPF! Nowadays, you can find SPF in your makeup, your primers, your lotions, your moisturizer, and just about everything else that goes onto your skin. SPF stands for Sun Protection Factor which means that if you have SPF 15 in your moisturizer (and you applied it correctly) then you would resist the UV rays 15 times as long as you would without and protection at all. And that's assuming you don't sweat or rub your face. Now think... How often is your face or chest or hands subject to the suns harmful rays? When your driving to work/school, when you get out of the car and walk through the parking lot, sitting near a window for 50 minute lecture or just playing outside with the dog. Your hands, chest, and face are the 3 areas when aging signs begin first.

A good point...:http://www.selftanningqueen.com/2012/06/07/dont-think-you-need-sunscreen/

Now, if you love the look of being tan (what teen girl doesn't??) let's save your beautiful youthful skin and use a sunless tanner! It's so easy and I have become an expert in sunless tanning. For a natural, even, long-lasting tan I go with the medium of Sun Labs Overnight Self-Tanning Lotion. It's my favorite!!

I cannot stress enough how important it is that you protect your skin and in a future post I'll tell you how awful tanning beds are.
But, for now, use suncreen everyday. Put it on like your favorite lotion and be protected! You aren't going to have tight, youthful, radiant skin forever so why not make it last as long as possible?

Thanks for reading guys and I hope you enjoyed :)

Hello people!
The latest thing in my life is I've officially graduated from high school! It's crazy! I had my graduation party with my two other graduating cousins and we had a blast! I felt like this was the perfect time for grad-party makeup!
Ta daa!!!!

Ok! So my makeup for grad parties goes into two categories:
If you're going to a pool party or if you're going to a regular grad party (indoors or otherwise).

If you're going to a pool party or a party that's outdoors I would recommend:
Start out with a SPF enriched moisturizer (I like SPF 70)
Then use a natural cover-up as needed,
go with a thin brown waterproof liner on your upper lid and waterproof mascara.
I would go with a light pink lip gloss (over your SPF 15 chapstick), and just use your foundation as your eyeshadow.
Add a tiny bit of bronzer underneath your cheekbones and little swipe of blush if you're fair-skinned.
I would use Urban Decay's All Nighter
Long-Lasting Makeup Setting Spray to keep your makeup lasting all day!

This look is super natural and it should last all day! Don't forget your SPF! I'm very much for sun protection, if you haven't noticed.

If you're going to and indoor party:
I would recommend the same thing but you could probably skip all the SPF.
And use a brown or natural looking shadow to contour your eyes. It's ok to go a little bit more dramatic if you're going to be inside. Heck! Use some glitter on your eyes!

Thanks for reading today guys and come back tomorrow and I'll fill you in on some summer secrets :)
